Terms of Use
Effective: September 6, 2026
Brightery Notes is an organizational tool for storing and synchronizing user-provided notes, documents, bill information and expense records. It is not a bank, payment processor, accounting firm, legal service or government identity provider.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of information you save and autofill, for safeguarding your account password, recovery code and device access, and for reviewing OCR/autofill results before relying on them. Keep the recovery code outside Brightery Notes; anyone who has both the account email and recovery code may be able to reset access to that encrypted vault.
Sensitive records
Do not save CVV/CVC/CID card verification codes. Do not use Brightery Notes to store data you do not have the right to possess. OCR may contain mistakes and should always be verified.
Availability and backups
The service is designed for encrypted sync and offline use, but no software can guarantee uninterrupted availability. Keep appropriate independent copies of irreplaceable records and recovery information.
Acceptable use
You may not abuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, bypass plan or security controls, upload malicious content, or use the service in violation of applicable law.
Account termination
You may delete your account at any time using the in-app deletion flow or the website deletion page. We may restrict accounts that materially violate these terms or threaten the service.
Changes
If these terms change materially, the published effective date will be updated and users should be informed through an appropriate product or account notice.
